Chizik, two years removed from not just being in the title game but having his team show a pulse and winning it, is fired (year 4). Kelly, without the benefit of that enormous feather in his cap and having been pantsed in a title game, showing inexplicably poor philosophical & in-game decisions combined with this year's (5) collapse for the ages has no such fear.
Can someone more knowledgeable than I explain what happened at Auburn or was the 3-9 record in 2012 enough by itself to remove the guy that had recently brought Auburn it's only undisputed title in program history?
Not advocating we run a program like them, but the back half of this year felt a lot like a 3-9 season. The lack of accountability appears to be sorely lacking at every level of our program.
