Kelly had an incredible freshman class. We had Jonas Gray, Cierre Wood and Atkinson III at RB, plus Theo Riddick. We had two NFL TEs and a couple NFL WRs in Floyd and Jones. OL had Watt, Cave, Martin and Robinson. Nix was already a stud at NG and we had Tuitt, Lynch and Moore on the DL. Teo and Shembo at LB. We had Harrison Smith and Robert Blanton as DBs and Bennett Jackson was already playing well.

Somehow with a lot of NFL quality talent, maybe the best assemblage of raw talent on a roster in any one year since the mid 1990s (better than 2012 IMO), we lost 5 freaking games, including three very close games we should not have lost.

I don't care who QB'd. That season should have been 11-2 at worst. And that assumes we lose to USC with Lane Kiffin as HC and lose to Stanford with David Shaw in his first year as HC.
