game some time in the early 80's. A rowdy bunch, he and his friends. I walked by their booth and nodded and said Go Irish as their chatter and attire made it obvious that they were fans.

One man smiled and pointed to a guy on the other side of the table and said, "Do you know who that is?"
I said "no."
He said: "That's Johnny Lujack. He played for Notre Dame."
I laughed and said I certainly knew of his legend. I shook his hand and called my friends over.
My friends joined us and we stood there for a minute or two babbling and of course, one of the guys at the table started singing the Victory March. We all joined it.
We then left his party to continue on while I filed a memory in the folder of my mind labeled Notre Dame.
