The football coach of the school I do Public Address for has asked me to help with getting our kids names and video out to colleges. We have one player who is drawing interest from a number of schools and has interest in ND. Here's the best part, he's an actual full back, 6'1" 225 lbs. great blocker and a very good pass catcher out of the backfield. So my question is where would I go to get the information to send the video out? Thanks in advance.

hopefully the kid is open to changing positions *

You ought to be able to get enough information via Notre Dame's compliance website. Be sure to check out the "prospects" section also.

Check out the FAQs, too.

I'd have put in the hyperlink box but somebody already posted this link in the past.

Let the coach and the kids' parents direct the show. If you want to help, call the football offices of the schools in which the kids have an interest and ask them to whom videos should be directed and what medium they prefer.

I'm doing this at the behest of the head coach.

I'm basically going to be doing this as a stipend position with the school. The coach, player, and parents have given me the list of schools and the info to send. Additionally I have NO connections to any of the schools listed.

You have a connection to ND.

It's the coach, kid and parents' jobs to do this stuff.

Besides, if he's good enough, and he starts getting top 25 offers, then ND will know about him.

But what makes you think Kelly wants a fullback?

They sometimes miss gems, especially from NW Ohio

Nate Bolling and Marcus Waugh are examples that immediately come to mind that ND missed out on. Kyle Vanden Bosch wanted to go to ND as well

You will be climbing an uphill battle trying to get coaches at any major DI program to pay attention to an unsolicited video, especially if hes an upper classmam. College coaches begin by purchasing lists from reputable sources and narrow their funnel from there. Same deal with non-invite summer camps. Small tidbit- Bob Chmiel once told me that in 20+ years of coaching, he discovered two players at a camp. One was Rocky Boiman. The other was Tim Biakabutukah and that' was mostly because he lived out of the country.

If it were me...

I would research from each school's athletic site the name and address of their recruiting coordinator, and send it to him, possibly with a concurrent email to let him know it's coming.

Linked below are some do's and don'ts from Rivals, FYI
