When I saw your subject line of "A picture is forming here" (post linked below), I assumed you meant that Longo and his vaunted S&C program were failing and read the post content with that preconception. On a second reading with no preconception, though, I think it was pretty clear that you were directly stating something very different - the combine results paint a picture that despite our progress, our roster still has a talent deficit versus the top teams. That's a pretty reasonable point, and in fact it might indirectly say exactly the opposite thing about Longo - that the exceptional results on the field last year are a credit to his program given that he perhaps has less raw material to work with.
Of course, it's all really the usual off-season tempest in a teapot. I'm disappointed in Te'o's time and Motta's lifts, but it's really not that big a deal. They'll both get a mulligan at the ND pro day and they'll both still get drafted. And ND football will carry on.
