He was the first-team AFL QB for 1968.

But he was awful for most of the 1970s -- 76 TD and 116 INT. His only decent-to-good seasons in that stretch were 1972 and 1974. His 1970, 1971, and 1973 seasons were shortened by injuries, and by 1975 his knees were shot and he was basically immobile. He actually had a couple of decent games with the Rams in 1977, but the Monday night game at Chicago was a disaster and ended up being his final NFL game.
