While Big Ten Conference teams are moving toward cutting lower-division opponents from their football schedules, Notre Dame might be going in the other direction. Notre Dame spokesman John Heisler said the Fighting Irish wouldn't rule out playing a team from the Football Championship Subdivision, especially in a year when the team had "a late opening and limited options."
