for a couple of reasons. The first being that we should be able to finish the year with a very strong recruiting effort. This class is looking strong and the momentum should carry through to next season as will the hype around the team with so much returning talent. This means that whether Kelly wins big or gets fired there shouldn't be a talent gap in one of our classes.
If somehow Kelly does learn from his repeated failures by instituting substantive change, expectations should include a playoff appearance. Setting the expectations high gives Swarbrick more freedom to make hard decisions should Kelly fail.
Whether you want Kelly gone or think he will succeed the LSU win was a big one for the future.
Now the only question is whether we should expect yet another hellacious off-season. I can't remember what a quiet one is like.
