In reply to: Kelly won't be fired.  posted by FourLeafDomer

narrowed your vision on Kelly's tenure to these 2 points. "....two seasons removed from the NC game and who just finished an injury plagued end of season after finishing the first half undefeated." Clearly, there's a ton more negative baggage. This effort by you is a misguided PR hatchet job...

Your suggestion that "every coach knows he's apt to have a similar season" is preposterous. In addition, what's missing from that remark is the fact that most excellent/competitive teams would have an identity well before 5 years of a head coach being in place. I'm not a huge sarkisian fan, but did you see how he installed a hurry up offense before this season started? That's year 1. We're in year 5. It's mind blowing. Would you care to share this team's identity and system on either side of the ball?

The core success of the 2012 season was in large part due to Charlie Weis' personnel and something that Kelly has never been recognized for which is defense. If you'd like to discuss fool's gold I'll remind you that Weis' 2005 team was within a "bush push" from NC consideration. That season gave me great hope that we could get the personnel to contend again.

Swarbrick has already proven he doesn't have the stones to fire kelly. Maybe he'll wake up and admit he made a mistake. It's tough for a guy with an ego to do...
