That would look at Brian Kelly's first two years at Notre Dame and label them a 'failure'. In my opinion, it's pretty fucking stupid to compare the process of rebuilding a program, and the record that is associated with it, with the results of seasons once the rebuilding process is, or should be, complete.
Seasons 4 & 5 were failures. No argument there.
But you're just ignorant if you hire a coach to come in to a program that was 16 - 21 the prior three seasons and then label him a failure for going 16-10 the next two seasons.
