But if you hire an accomplished coach with the resume HTown suggests, you still take on some risk, by a) committing what is almost certain to be $5M+/year to that coach, plus a multi-million dollar buyout; and b) assuming that he will devote as much time and energy to, and succeed as greatly in, this job as he did at his prior job.
"A" shouldn't overly concern ND. We have a fuckton of money. "B" should, to some extent.
But I think we'd all rather have a proven winner with ties to past, great coaches than someone with Brian Kelly's credentials.
