If he struggles with taking on the run, then he's certainly not moving to Mike - where we have Schmidt. That is Morgan's natural position as well (as bad as he looked).

The only other option is Sam. Again, if the goal is to put him in a position to minimize his role in stopping the run and shedding blockers, then he shouldn't be there either. In fact, Farley comes on in this position in passing situations. So even if Jaylon moved to Sam, he'd probably move right back to Will in passing situations - which really makes little sense.

With all that being said, if there is a position that needs to improve next year, it absolutely is the Sam. Drue Tranquill was a likely candidate to challenge Onwualu, but once again we are thin at safety.
