That is where/when good TE play would have helped

Hunter Jr. was out of the game.
Kizer had less options in the passing game.
St. Brown was getting more attention from Texas.
Run game wasn't working.

That would have been an ideal spot for Kizer to hook up with a TE for some chain-movers. Disappointing that the TE position was a total non-factor in this offense.




All those factors will still be present in overtime

plus Texas was running the ball down our throats.

Our best chance was to drive 40 yards and kick a field goal. Stanford did it pretty easily last year against us. Instead we decided to take a chance on overtime and lost.

There was never a glance at a TE throughout the game. With the Texas LBs cheating against the run this should have been a no brainer.
