1) Zaire would have played a lot more so we'd know what we really have in him -- and if he sucked obviously we would have just stopped right there. Odds are he would not have sucked.
2) The OL and RBs would have had to practice this package, so that means overall time spent practicing running the ball would have been higher. That alone would give us more options right now on how to beat LSU.
3) We may have scored more points this way. That package would have been valid on 3rd and short or 4th and short too. SOme extra first downs between the 20's on top of a few extra points in the redzone.
4) When Golson was off, we could have done the 2012 Rees thing this year. For that matter, the pressure to have to perform to stay in the game may have been why Golson held onto the ball better in 2012 than 2014.
