and Golson can't. Golson was more mobile than Rees, so he closed that hole, but can't run read option so we still have one arm tied behind our back offensively.

The next three QBs we have in line can run read option correctly is a theory. Once they get here -- 2016 forward -- we will see the offense really click. That's the argument in reply to your question.

This, of course, is horseshit. One, we could have used a QB this year that could run read option if we wanted to and we didn't. Two, we lost 5 games under Golson by "solving" the mobility issue we had with Rees -- worse than the last year under Rees. Three, there's no evidence Kelly will call it enough to matter even with a QB that can run it. Four, even if he does call it, he still is so incredibly pass happy that if the QB isn't "on" every single game we can't possibly go undefeated (14-0) and that means odds of making the playoffs are small and winning a title nearly 0%.
