Assume for the sake of discussion that full conference membership in football is inevitable. Which of the following is the least unpalatable option?
A) Notre Dame takes the plunge and joins the ACC on a full-time basis.
B) Notre Dame joins the Big XII in football with the intent to gradually transition its other sports into the conference, working out thornier details over time.
C) Notre Dame joins the Big 10 in football with the intent to gradually transition its other sports into the conference, working out thornier details over time.
D) It doesn't matter. All conferences are equally unpalatable. I will remain a fan regardless.

F) Join the Pac-12 and relocate the campus to La Jolla *
