Without a computer and well defined parameters, we humans, whether biased or not are completely unable to evaluate good losses or wins.

If we want a clear picture, all that needs to be done is have the committee sit down and set values for the variables. For example, each win is worth 1000 points. Then start adding and deleting points as determined by the committee. Winning at home doesn't help you, winning on the road would get extra points. You can have as many variables as you want. You could even allow for an over ride where ND got screwed by the ref. Or, take points away on the blown calls that allowed the great OSU to PSU.

Until we do it that way, it is completely open to manipulation.
