In regards to your Ray Lemek questions:

Ray was born and raised in Sioux City IA. His parents were both Polish and his father worked in the packing houses. Ray hopped a train for his recruiting trip to South Bend after Ed Simonich his high school coach set up a meeting with a priest for Ray. Ray Captained The Irish in 55' and was selected by the Redskins in draft. His injury came in the USC game as he was hit in the knee and had to have re-constructive surgery and sat out the year in 1956. Ray played 9 years in the NFL and was All -Pro in 1964!!
