Particularly given the return of the Rams, who outdrew both college teams. UCLA and USC did considerably better than other college teams in NFL cities, such as Miami, Pitt, Minnesota, Houston, and Rice. They easily outdrew Cal and Stanford, and even outdrew Washington, which had a dominant season and won the Pac-12.

Perhaps the most pathetic showing on that list was Purdue, which ranked last in Big Ten attendance and had an average crowd of only half the capacity of Ross-Ade Stadium.
