Falling for the hoax and committing himself so completely shows that he's not as strong in that department as expected.
Why are we forming ranks and crying about this injustice. If a kid gets in a bar fight he still gets drafted but his value drops, any negative drops your value. We are unable to accept that this is a negative and we write off any real damage as something else, why? We're so eager for this embarrasment to be a non-issue that we won't even admit something wrong happened.
