A lot of guys have rightly received praise for helping turn things around this past season. One who hasn't received as much credit as he deserved is Michael Floyd. While he wasn't around to experience the turn around this year, Kelly said repeatedly how Floyd singlehandedly set the standard as to how to practice during his two seasons with the Kelly staff. It would appear that the standard he set got through to a lot of the guys and has started paying dividends.

He also committed at the darkest hour *

Sadly, you'd have to be more specific. *

It's easier to take after 12-1, though.

Do you remember that little scuffle before his penultimate game against USC? "This team has a lot of fight in it, let me tell you" or something similarly trite.

ND didn't earn a first down until mid-way through the 3rd quarter, IIRC-- James Aldridge, the 5 star bruiser Charlie Weis turned into a rugby player, up the middle.

What a gasbag.

Last play of the 3rd quarter... *

I believe the 1st down drought vs. USC was in 2008

which, based on the scoreboard, was only 3 points less humiliating than the 2007 debacle whilst wearing green to "honor" the 1977 champs.
