A school recruiting fitts has asked him to commit early. Say a school like Southern Cal in hopes that his commit might stop the bleeding, or a school like UCLA could use his commit to Influence another recruit or recruits. I do not belong to any recruiting service, so I have no inside Info. I know most of the recruits have massive ego's and love the spotlight, but seems over the top to me.

It seems ND men are more likely to commit early and skip the soap opera. An example is Seantrel Henderson, if he was still split between ND and Miami until NSD then he probably likes the things that Miami offers.

Manti Te'o picked us in one of those "hat dances." *
