I assume our game in November 2018 would NOT be considered for that location.

It would be silly for the ND game to be at Wrigley

Ryan Field seats over 47,000. ND, which hasn't played in Evanston since 1976, would almost certainly sell the place out. Wrigley has a smaller capacity. And the whole point of NU playing there is as a gimmick to increase attendance, which wouldn't be necessary when ND is the opponent.

If the 2018 game isn't in Evanston, the more suitable alternative would be Soldier Field, where the 1992 and 1994 games were played.

Do the renovations include removing rows of seats?

I don't see how mearley filling in the dugout will allow for enough room.

As part of the $300 Wrigley redesign, I think they will

install a removable section of seats behind the end zone.

Because the problem was runoff area.

The field fit, but the corners of the end zones were within a foot of the walls. Filling the dugout gives another 10 feet to play with.

I believe they intend to remove the roof as well.

Why would the Cubs need to hold October? *

my brother saw the cubs in wrigley in october just last year. oct. 3rd vs. houston. the two team combined for the most losses between competing teams. go cubbies!

Actually, that wasn't a record

It wasn't even a record for most combined losses in a game involving the Cubs. The 1962 Cubs, who lost a team-record 103 games (later tied by the 1966 Cubs), ended their season by beating the Mets, who lost an MLB-record 120 games.

thanks
