Pretty sure they're just some fanboy's design.
This guy has been displaying these models since at least last Fall. He used actual game photos and digitally changed the uniforms. He's part of the "Bring Back Script Pitt" crowd. I have heard nothing to suggest that the university has adopted them.
Back to the Dorsett/Hugh Green-Mark May/Marino classic Pitt logo.
What took them so damn long?
It was as if ND got rid of the interlocking ND logo for 20 years.
Bow-chicka-wow-wa.....(bad attempt at black expllotation film music.......)
It's one notch below Blue Steel.
Sex Panther. Ooh, they're cool!
Ev'rybody got to go
Did you hear about the Midnight Panther?
Well, honey, it's no rock'n'roll show
At least during the last two seasons.
I think the others are sharp.
Nobody has ever thought of it before. I'm sure the kids like it.
Black it out.
Mirror is in.

Frankly, I'm concerned that Pitt may make a big dollar offer to ND's equipment manager. The Administration needs to show that they have their budget priorities in order and lock that guy in to a long-term contract with a big raise for him and his staff. They haven't extended his contract since the season ended - what are they waiting for!
I don't know where he ranks in pay compared to the equipment managers in the SEC, but if ND is to be a #1 program it must have the #1 paid equipment manager.
And what is Fortune's salary these days? You've got to pay the man top dollars if you want a top field.
It is funny how that school so desperately wanted to get away from the"Pitt" name. They went to great lengths to change that Panther logo and change the appellation "Pitt" to University of Pittsburgh.
Too bad it was such a lame name and logo and attempt. Pitt is what they are.
