South Bend: Asst. Controller opening

Position Summary:
The Asst. Controller will report to the Vice-President & Director of Finance of the business.
This position serves as a key financial resource of the company and is responsible for managing and integrating the finance, accounting, and compliance with US GAAP requirements to meet local and corporate objectives. At this key position you will be working closely with the finance group and management on daily operation of the company providing technical assistance and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities and Priorities:
 Full General Ledger responsibility.
 Accounting and Finance functions, including monthly accounting close, reporting, budgeting, cash flow analysis, development of key performance indicators and audit compliance.
 Financial consolidation of multiple legal entities, including several international sites and Joint-Ventures.
 Monitor accounting operations and control systems for international operations.
 Perform regular analysis related to currency impact and intercompany transactions.
 Support company and investor leadership teams with ongoing reporting and compliance.
 Support leadership team with annual strategic planning process and development of annual operating plan
 Support continuous improvement in working capital performance and return on assets.
 Support investor requirements related to Internal Audit, Treasury and ad-hoc analysis.

 Industrial services environment

Years of Experience Required:
 5+ years experience as Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller or similar position.
 5+ years experience in manufacturing and/or industrial environment

Education Requirements:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Other Requirements:
 Demonstrated experience supervising within an Accounting department.
 Proven ability to drive improved financial and business performance.
 Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
 Strong knowledge of Excel.
