Looking for Engineer / CAD Designer With Machine Build Exper

We are currently seeking a senior designer. This position will be responsible for design of gauges and specialty machines for the automotive glass industry, as well as ensuring that CAD, prints and mechanical designs are acceptable for manufacturing.

Skills:
• Understanding of GD&T and how to apply it to machining drawings and gauge designs.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a working knowledge of material properties (strength, wear, thermal, etc.).
• Part and assembly modeling in Solidworks (Unigraphics experience also a plus)
• Ability to create complete drawing packages including detailed BOM’s
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities when needed

We are looking for someone with experience in the machine building field. Automotive would be an added bonus, but any robotic or PLC machinery build would be useful.
We are looking for someone in the South Bend, Michiana area.
