You sure Carter Putz wasn't recruited to play football. He started at QB as a sophmore and was quite good. He plays at the school formerly coached by Tim Grunhard who was recruited to coach at Kansas by Charlie Weis.

I actually know his former summer coach.

He's a good kid. And given the team he played for, he must be pretty damn good.
