Looks like our top recruit was taken in the 2nd round by the D-backs. Probably doubtful that he ends up at ND given his high selection.

I was keeping my fingers crossed (selfishly) that Yerzy would slip even past the 5th-7th round grade I was seeing on him. Of course, Larussa and Dave Stewart continue their run of defying conventional wisdom while running the Diamondbacks and took Yerzy way earlier than anyone expected. Good for the kid. Bad for the Irish and all of us.
Too bad. I can't fault him if he signs. *
