ACC
1. North Carolina 9-1
5. NC State 10-2
8. Clemson 8-2
23. Miami 8-2
56. Georgia Tech 11-0
59. Louisville 9-2
71. Virginia Tech 8-4
78. Duke 8-4
108. Virginia 7-4
112. Pittsburgh 6-4
136. Wake Forest 9-3
146. Florida State 8-3
150. Boston College 9-1
167. Notre Dame 6-5

Again, waaay early, but it does illustrate that ND has been struggling against some really bad teams.

I'm not sure what to make of the late inning rallies.

Are the opponents so weak that eventually we were going to get to them or do we have some crazy "comeback cardiac kids" gene? I hope it's the latter but RPI doesn't seem to indicate that.

I think it has to be mental...

When we are "up against it" I'm glad we can crank it up a notch and deliver. But that is a very dangerous mentality, one that also relies on some luck. I think we need to treat the first inning and every inning as if we were behind in the bottom of the ninth. I think it is mental laziness if we don't.

Half mental...for at least 90% of the game *
