The same writer emphatically said ND used illegal block against FSU in FB, nullifying the winning TD. He's yet to learn to live with the fact that somedays you're the windshield and somedays you're the bug.
I know there are several CJ "journalists" that disparage anything Notre Dame related, any chance they get (especially football)
Of course, there is one writer in particular that is beyond delusional (even by Louisville standards) This person once wrote an article justifying U of L scheduling recent power-houses such as Eastern Kentucky, Missouri State, Florida International and Samford.
That foul ball/homerun has provided so much entertainment today.
UVA was a 3-seed in its regional, the lowest of the seeds to make it to Omaha. Arkansas was a 2-seed. Everyone else was a 1-seed in their respective regionals. Why do UVA and Arkansas draw each other?
Virginia came out of the Super Regional that the No. 1 national seed, UCLA, would've hosted had Maryland not eliminated them. Arkansas won a Super Regional over the No. 8 national seed, Missouri State; Arkansas got to host because the Bears share their home stadium with a minor league club which was at home last weekend.
Had all top 8 national seeds made it to Omaha, it would've been UCLA-Mo. State (1-8), LSU-TCU (2-7), Louisville-Illinois (3-6) and Florida-Miami (4-5). The LSU-TCU and UF-UM matchups held, but Cal State Fullerton and Vanderbilt won Super Regionals on the road and will play each other.
