New job. Need suit buying advice.

I just accepted a new role at a company where I will be expected to wear a suit every day. 1) How many suits will I need to pull this off? I assume 4-6 will be enough.
2) Where would you recommend I go to purchase 2-3 new suits that will hold up to daily wear, but come at a reasonable price?
