I'm not a person who offers unsolicited advice, but as we wade through the Connecticut shooting story you may want to limit your consumption of the coverage. No matter how far removed we are from the actual scene, we all know a five year old. We have all been five. We can relate to the parents, siblings and children. Right now we know the Who, Where, What and When. The Why is beyond our comprehension. Don't even try. I don't want to dissuade you from watching news, but we are on the eve of an enormous wave of heart breaking information and images that will reach every family in this country. Keep it at arms length. The grief this heinous act is producing can be overwhelming if you let it consume you. -- Bob Clausen, KARK News, Little Rock

One more time to watch.

I want to listen to their names, and offer silent prayers for them and their families. Then tomorrow, at mass, I will remember them in the intercessions..."for all those for whom we have promised to pray."

But I do agree with his advice.

Sound advice *
