He suggested some Beats by Dr. Dre, but that ain't happening. Here are my criteria: (1) over/around the ear -- not on the ear or in the ear, and (2) under $100 -- under $75 if possible.

I love Skullcandy. Cheap, cool, and they sound good.

They sound just as good as that Beats crap. For the amount you pay for those, you could get greatly superior headphones.
They also have the best endorsers
