They just sent me a nice warm email telling me how they increased the number of stays and nights needed to achieve Gold or Diamond status.

I'm really pissed.

Didn't they only increase stays for diamond by 2? *

You can get Gold Status with the Citi Reserve card

$95 per year and automatic Gold, 2 free nights at any Hilton on application and a free night on each annual renewal. $40K in spend gets you Diamond. Hilton is the easiest major hotel chain to secure status with.
Just wait until they start taxing your travel rewards.
