that the stadium was reserved for football and football only. Is this yet another tradition tossed to the wind by Swarbrick et al.? Or has this been done before and I'm just not aware?

Well Graduation is there, rumored outdoor hockey

When your reasoning for building Crossroads is so it becomes a multi-use structure used more than 7 times a year, it would seem to follow that the stadium/field would be used more, too. Wasn't that also the reason for field turf - it would hold up over a multitude of diverse events?

I'm not making the argument for this, only that it appears that horse has left the barn.

Also, Reunion classes have dinners in the press box - I have been to one of these (pre - Crossroads)

Don't know but ND had to submit a bid

to host the event and in the bid package was information on where the game would be held. ND choose ND stadium and wasn't forced by anyone to host it there.

I also believe there is a 12K minimum on seating to host a QF - one reason Hopkins doesn't host QFs and why Arlotta wouldn't work either.

ND wasn't "forced" by anyone to choose ND Stadium

But if they want to host a QF, there isn't another option available to my knowledge given capacity requirements.
